DR. DAN EICHENBERGER, MD

Dr. Dan Eichenberger is a New Albany native with 30+ years’ experience as a primary care physician, boarded in both adult Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, as well as a Physician Executive and Healthcare Consultant. He was born and raised in New Albany and spent 17 years living in Floyds Knobs while his children attended school prior to moving back to New Albany.


Blending mission-driven, transparent leadership and broad clinical experience to elevate performance and improve quality of care, he successfully led Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services’ merger with Baptist Health, securing long-term financial benefit to the county.


He earned his B.A. in Chemistry from Indiana University, his M.D. and residency training from the University of Louisville, and his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. He was named to Business First’s “20 People to Know in Healthcare” in the Louisville Metro Area in 2018, he was the Indiana University Southeast “Chancellors’ Medallion,” Recipient, the One Southern Indiana “Professional of the Year 2015”, and the Rotary Club person of the year in 2021.


He has been married to his wife Stephanie for 38 years and enjoys teaching, hunting, fishing, and snow skiing. He and Stephanie have four children and multiple grandchildren. His mission is to provide excellent, personal care to his patients, grounded in strong Christian principles, and to re-establish a primary care medical practice dedicated to the doctor-patient relationship with the primary goal of personalized care, the way medicine once was. 


DR. MARK BICKERS, MD

D. Mark Bickers, MD is a lifelong Floyd County resident who graduated from Floyd Central high school, then completed his undergraduate education at IU Southeast while working as an orderly at Floyd Memorial Hospital.


He completed his medical doctorate degree at the IU school of medicine, then completed his internship at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana, where he met his wife of 38 years-Bobbi. He then returned to Floyd County to complete his residency in internal medicine at the University of Louisville.


Upon completing his internal medicine residency training, he started private practice as an internist and practiced primary care along with his father, Dr. Everett Bickers at the Floyd's knobs clinic. During the same time, he served as an associate faculty in the department of internal medicine University of Louisville.


The following year he opened the first internal medicine practice in Salem Indiana and started emergency medicine coverage for the ER at Washington high Memorial Hospital.


In 1987, Dr. Bickers returned to Fellowship training at University of Louisville where he completed a 3-year fellowship in cardiovascular disease and served as chief fellow.

Since 1990, Dr. Bickers has maintained a full-time cardiology practice in New Albany while continuing to manage general medical problems for many of his and his father's former patients.


During his 30+ years at FMH/BHF, Dr. Bickers served as chairman of department of medicine (twice) chief of division of cardiology (3 times and was Chief of Staff (1996) as was his father (1967).


Dr. Bickers (D. Mark) is 1 of several physicians in his family including his father, the late Dr. Everett Bickers, older brother Dr. Rex Bickers–neonatologist; son Dr. Mark Everett Bickers–internal medicine and pediatrics, currently practicing at Floyd's Knobs Physician Associates, and the most recent addition, second cousin, Dr. William Bickers, a board-certified anesthesiologist specializing in pain medicine at BH Floyd.


Dr. Bickers and his wife Bobbi (RN) reside in Floyds Knobs and have 4 grown children, all married and 9 grandchildren. He continues to enjoy his lifelong passion of riding horses and remains a loyal lifetime supporter of IU athletics.


Dr. Bickers is looking forward to returning to his roots and primary care/general internal medicine and is especially excited about the opportunity to return to the private practice of medicine.

Dr. Christina Minrath

Dr. Christina Minrath is a Louisville native with 20 years’ experience as a primary care physician in the Floyds Knobs community. She was born, raised, and continues to live in the Louisville area. Dr. Minrath attended Butler University before graduating medical school at the University of Louisville in 2000. She had her two children while she completed her Internal Medicine and Pediatric residency at the University of Louisville. Realizing the importance of family support, this helped define her strong work ethic and desire for professional and family balance. She has continued working with the University of Louisville as a Gratis professor training residents in the outpatient clinic. She has been married to her husband Brian for 27 years, and raised 2 wonderful children, Samantha and William, through the Christian Academy school system, and is now adjusting to the empty nest. They have been blessed to call North East Christian Church their home for the last 3 decades. Dr. Minrath is an avid sports fan of all sports. She has been an athlete, a coach, and the number 1 supporter of her children in high school and collegiate sports. She loves being outside with friends, pets, and family, and hanging out at their favorite 3rd Turn Brewery which her husband is a co-owner. Dr. Minrath feels that being a physician is her God given purpose and is most excited about the ability to spend more time with her patients. She is committed to caring for the whole person in a trusting, personal doctor-patient relationship with minimal 3rd party hurdles of insurance and corporations, bringing back the way medicine should be practiced.
